Imgur has released a new online video-to-gif creator. We tested it on a song that features Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj at their collective best, and has embedded itself in our office jukebox, Bang Bang.
Creation is simple, just find an online video from any of the major services, and past the url in the text field. Next select your start-stop points, insert some text, if desired, and hit create. It’s just that easy. Better yet, Imgur produces a variety of links to support your newly created gif. The downside? You can’t control the image file size or change the dimensions, which can result in some whopping file weight. Solution? Hit EZ Gif and run the gif through their optimizer.
