DJI has released the Mavic Pro Platinum, an updated version of the popular Mavic Pro drone. The Platinum edition takes all of the advanced features of the Mavic Pro, and adds an 11% gain in flight time for up to 30 minutes of flying action. Addressing some user complaints on the noise level of the original, DJI claims to have reduced the prop noise by 60%, or about 4dB. Finally, the drone’s compact body has been afforded a platinum-colored chassis.
The increased flight time and quieter operation has been achieved by integrating new electronic speed controllers (ESC’s) and redesigned propellers, which are also compatible with the current Mavic Pro.
DJI’s Mavic Pro Platinum costs $1,099 and is available now.
