Knog has launched an online film contest and 24 hour global film festival championing those nocturnal adventures in the dark. The competition’s format is completely unique in that the winning films are screening across the entire globe in one night. With seven different countries hosting viewing parties, over 24 hours it’s a global night film comp whose finale is truly a global night of film.
With over US $15,000 worth of prizes up for grabs, including action from Burton, Rapha, Levi’s, CamelBak, Timbuk2, Cycles Galleria and Tern, the competition is on the hunt for the best night-time adventure video-makers. Bike, skateboard, surf, dive, or whatever you think is dynamic…Knog’s judges want to see it. Entrants are encouraged to use action cams plus a Knog light – whether that’s one of their video lights or even a bike light – but this is not a mandatory criteria, but one we wholly recommend! — see our Knog [qudos] review.
To judge all this creative content Knog have hand-picked a panel of three esteemed judges from the film and creative industries for the venture. Mat Cotye, Editor of Rolling Stone (and Empire), Ben Welsh, M&C Saatchi, and Hugo Davidson, Knog CEO, will lend their year’s of experience to reviewing all submitted videos.
Hugo Davidson Knog CEO said “Deciding to run a film comp celebrating those heroes of the night, those guys who are out there smashing the mould and creating awe-inspiring action videos in the dark seemed like an absolute no brainer to us. And having just released the [qudos] action light for GoPro this is a perfect opportunity to do something and celebrate.”
The No Ordinary Night film contest runs from 2nd March to 24th May with the global film festival on June 6th.
